How do you tell a familiar story in a new way? How do you bring the Holy Trinity to life on stage? This is the task that we have taken on this Christmas season. Thankfully, Foothills has a tremendously talented and gracious worship arts community. Our cast has been open and willing to try things they may have never done before. Along with our design team and technicians, all have worked brilliantly together to bring the universe of Wandering Stars to the stage. Please join us as we listen to our Father in heaven telling one of His favourite stories; the story of the time that He left His throne in heaven for a manger in a stable.—Mark Holmes

I love how this story looks at the incarnation, God becoming human, on two different levels. On the one hand, we hear the Trinity's all-knowing clarity about all that will unfold as the redemption plan is set in motion. And, on the other, we see the human characters: the Wisemen struggling to understand unfathomable signs, and Mary & Joseph trusting in a divine plan that will take them to unfamiliar lands. But that's the truth of the God I know. He is continually at work to connect with humanity, both on a macro level (through nature and the intersection of time and space), and on a micro level (as his Spirit relentlessly, lovingly pursues us and whispers intimately into our stories). It's my prayer that this story will help you see God, either in the grand design of the cosmos, or in the deep sense of belonging that every soul craves. He is the beginning, the end, and everything in between. Jesus is all we need.—Rebecca Schnell
